Double click in the grid in a cell of the line Long text. A window will then open.
If your page is empty, place your long text in column 1.
The long text line allows you to insert text files or html files in your application.
NEW : For more control, you can now insert html code inside your presentation using the Long Text line.

What long text can one add ?
- a TXT file
Complete the first cell by clicking on the button arrow.
Select your file then confirm.
A txt file does not have a particular layout.
- a RTF file
Complete the first cell by clicking on the button arrow.
Select your file then confirm.
A rtf file keeps the particular layout.
If you use Microsoft Word, you can save your files in doc or rtf format and thus insert them in our applications.
- a HTML page off-line
When playing, your html page will appear into a frame.
Complete the first cell by clicking on the button arrow.
Select your file then confirm.
A html file generally calls on other external files (images, scripts, other html pages...)
For this reason and in this case only, this file is not included at the time of the creation of the final application.
At the time of the distribution on cd-rom (MediaMixer, TwinPlayer), you must save this file and the files which it depends on, on your cd-rom.
NEW : When exporting your presentation, the sofware will copy the html page in a directory "texts".
You just have to copy the depending files on your cd-rom (or to publish them on your web site) by creating appropriates directories to connect those files with your html page.
Use relative paths when writing your html pages.
Ex : If the images should be in a directory "images" behind your html page, create a directory "images" in the driectory "texts" created when exporting.
- HTML code of a html page off-line NEW
When playing, your html page will appear inside your presentation (no frame).
With this option, add for example complexe tables or on-line form to your presentation.
Complete the first cell by clicking on the button arrow.
Select your file then confirm.
Select "Insert the html code".
When creating your presentation, the code will be directly inserted into the presentation (no frame).
You just have to avoid all informations in the code that may disturb the rest of the code :
Save your html page as and then delete html, html end, body, body end, head, head end tags and also the content of your head tag.
- a HTML page on-line
Enter in the cell the address of the on-line page.
This address must always begin with http://
For example: http://www.cdromstudio.com.
If you are connected to the internet, you will see your page appear on-line when you leave the cell.
You can thus integrate directly your internet site into your multimedia application.
How do you position a long text ?
- Visually
- Click on the button "Visual positioning".
- You go to the Mode Positioning. You visualize your project full screen with all the medias.

- Manually
Change the values "Left", "Top", "Width" , "Height".
How do you make a long text appear ?
- a TXT file
* Font
Click on the name of the font which appears in maroon (by default "System"). .
Choose your font : name, size and attributes...
If you intend to distribute your application, use popular fonts (Times New Roman, Tahoma, Verdana, Arial...)
* Font colour
Click on the small colour square under the name of the font.
Then choose your text colour.
- Alignment
Change "Alignment" (by default left).
Choose among "Left", "Right", "Justify" and "Center".
- Transtion effects or movements NEW
Change transition effect (by default "Immédiate").
59 transition effects are availables (left-right, morphing, straight, parable, cercle, fade...).
If you select Left-Right, your text will appear gradually from left to right.
Adjust the delay of appearance with "Effect duration" (1.5 sec).
"Broken line" effect (demo and version pro) can be customized.
Simply enter all the x and y differents positions of your image.
Enter just one space char between each position.
* Scrolling arrows NEW
Your texts appear transparently over the presentation interface (no more box).
If your text is longer than the dimensions of the area choosen, make it scroll by selecting "With scrolling arrows".
When playing, 2 little arrows appear making your text sroll up or down (just move your mouse over the arrows).
You can change those default arrows by using an image or a text line associated with a mouseover action : "Long texte up column" or "Long text down column".
How do you make a long text disappear ? NEW
- immediatly
Select "Make disappear all the longs texts".
The long(s) text(s) previously recorded will disappear.
- later
Select "Automatic disappearance whith action 'Go to Column'".
When the application changes column (action "Go to column"), your long text disappears.
This option is very convenient for a summary page. When the user clicks on a choice, it is often necessary to make several elements disappear simultaneously.
How do you make a long text reappear ? NEW
Check "Insert in the background".
Your long text is then included in the image memory of the project (background).
When you ask for a background reset, it reappears.
How do you validate a long text ?
Click on the button OK.
The name of the file appears in the slot of the grid.
