Interactivity

How do you add interactivity ?

You can easily make the pictures, the sounds, the videos, the background, the animations, the characters, the texts, the hot zones and the variables of your application interactive.
When you create one of these elements, all that you have to do is to change the filter "No action". Then choose one of the 21 available actions.

Go to page :

If you do not remember, click on the small arrow, the list of the pages of the project appears.

Go to page-column :
This action starts another grid at the beginning of a column. Write down the number of the page and the column required.

Launch application :
This action starts an external software package. Write down the path of the software or click on the small arrow to search for it on your hard disc. You can thus start directly Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word from your application.
If you use this action, this action will only function if the end user possesses the specified software. Indeed, the software cannot be included in the final application at the time of the creation. This must be installed in the given directory. If you do not know where the software is installed, rather use the instruction "Open file".

Open file
This action allows you to open a file with the software which is attached by default on the user’s machine (shell command). You can thus open an excel or word file, without worrying about the place where the software has been installed (major difference to "Launch software with file" or to "Launch software"). For this action, during the creation of the application, the file specified will be included. If you want to open a html file, choose rather "Open file exterior” because of the picture links in your html page which will not be recovered if the file is included in the application.

Open external file
This action is similar to "Open file". The difference : the file specified is not included in the application. It will turn on the different readers to find your file. This action is particularly useful if you want to open a html file off-line. In case of distribution on cd-rom, you should save this file as well as all the elements which are linked to it. In this case, reproduce on the cd-rom the directories of your html pages. If your page is in the directory c:\html, create a html directory on your cd-rom with your page and its different elements (pictures, scripts...).

This action permits the launch of an internet site via the Internet navigator defined by default on your system (Netscape for example). Specify the Internet address required.
The web site will appear in a NEW window.

Print screen :
This action allows screen print. No parameterization is necessary. On execution, the user selects his printer.

Print screen and go to page :
This action allows screen print then to go directly to a page at the end of the print.

Quit presentation :
This action allows you to leave the application. It is associated with the button "Quit" of your project.

Send Email to :
This action allows to send email. Specify your email address. This action automatically launches the email software (for example Microsoft Outlook).
