The suppleness of the grid allows you to optimise your loadings as seems best to you. The weight of each element of your presentation is fundamental. You must try to optimise each media.
- cd-rom with many videos and sounds.
If your application contains many videos and sounds (more than 50mb), create your final application final application with the option "create all except sounds and videos in a single application".
You gain the decompression time of the video and the sound.
- to optimise your pictures
It is useless to load very large pictures which need to appear reduced. Resize them with a drawing tool or use the automatic redimensionning offered by the software on the image lines. If you do not use the transparency, choose in preference the jpeg format.
- photograph/scan at a correct resolution and correct dimensions.
Scan your images for web or screen destination (76 dpi) and not for printing.
Take/scan your pictures in dimensions similar to those of your project.
Much smaller files, load quicker.
- optimise your sounds
Use sound files in mono 16 bits (upto 40 times smaller than the same file in stereo for an equivalent quality on a PC).
- add pauses
Do your pictures follow each other too quickly ? Add a « pause » in a picture or text cell.
