Double click in the grid in a cell of the line Sound-music (first line). A window will then open.
If your page is empty, place your sound in column 1.

What sound can one add ?
- a sound file (WAV, MP3, MID, AU, AIF, CDA...)
Complete "File" by clicking on the button arrow.
Select your file, then validate.
Play only one part of your sound by changing the values "Start" and "End" (in milliseconds).
The small arrows next to "Start" and "End" recover the current position of reading.
Three read buttons appear to allow you to listen to your sound.
To listen to a MP3 sound, your user must possess Microsoft MediaPlayer 6.4 or higher (or equivalent).
You can download freely on the internet the latest version of Microsoft Mediaplayer (or equivalent)
You can permit its installation from your application by creating for example a text link "Install Microsoft MediaPlayer" associated with an action "Open file" launching the installation of Microsoft MediaPlayer.
Use in preference sound files in mono and not in stereo (enhanced performance).
How do you play a sound ?
- once on a page
Choose "Start sound and continue" (by default).
Uncheck "Repeat indefinitely".
- several times on a page
Choose "Start sound and continue".
Select "Repeat indefinitely".
- wait for the end of the sound to continue the grid
Choose "Play entire sound and continue".
- launch the sound and continue to display the other elements of the grid
Choose "Start sound and continue".
- load the sound but do not play it immediately
Choose "Read file without playing and continue".
The action "Play/stop sound" (associated for example with an image or a text) allows the user to listen to the sound.
How do you stop a sound ?
- immediatly
Select "Stop previous sound".
This choice stops the sounds previously playing.
- later
Select "Stop automatically when changing columns".
When the application changes column (actions "Go to column"), your sound stops.
Hwo do you make sound interactive ?
- at the end of the sound.
Change "No action".
Choose among 21 actions (go to page, go to column, go to a web page, open file, print screen...).
Use this level of action for example for a voiced tutorial. At the end of the voiced explanation, your application therefore goes automatically to another place in a grid.
How do you add sound to a video ?
Add a video in the previous column.
Choose for this video "Start video and continue to display".
Your sound will replace that of the video if it exists.
